16 new jobs in Canada are now available for Express Entry
The Canadian government is trying to bring in new people who have the necessary economic skills to address a severe labor shortage across the country.
Sean Fraser, Minister for Foreign Affairs, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, today announced the implementation of the 2021 National Occupation Classification (NOC) for Express Entry managed immigration programs. Using the new NOC categories will allow Canada to attract talent from around the world to high-demand industries such as healthcare, construction and transportation.
Nursing assistants, long-term care assistants, orderlies, elementary and middle school teaching assistants, and truck drivers are some of the 16 jobs included in the Express Entry program.
The NOC system is used to track and classify all occupations in the Canadian labor market and is updated to reflect changes in the economy and the nature of work.
