Correction: Purity f100

Correction: Purity f100
What should be done to achieve 100/100 purity:

When can you say that your cow is 100% pure?

How many years do you have to wait to reach 100 purity for each breed?

The answer to the above questions follows a rule called the 50% rule, which means that 50% of the genetics is inherited from the father and 50% from the mother.

To better clarify the answers to the above questions, it is enough to consider that we have a purebred Holstein cow and we want to get from this cow to a purebred Simmental cow.
In my first Holstein cow pregnancy, I use Simmental cow sperm (sperm must be 100/100 from Simmental cows)
Our Holstein cow gives birth to a calf with 50% blood purity after 9 months. It is determined.

first generation
F1=50% Holstein 50% Simmental

We consider that our first generation calf is female and was impregnated with Simmental sperm at the age of 15 months (note that 100% Simmental sperm should always be used), at the age of 24 months the second generation calf is born with 75% purity.

second generation

F2 = Simmental 75% Holstein 25

Considering that the F2 calf is a female, our third generation will be born after 24 months with a purity of 87.5%.

The third generation

F3 = 12.5% Simmental 87.5% Holstein

Considering that the calves born are female, we move forward one generation every 2 years.

The fourth generation

F4 = 75.93% Holstein 6.25 Simmental

The fifth generation

F5 = 96.875 Holstein 3.125 Simmental

The sixth generation

F6=98.4374 Holstein 1.5626 Simmental

The seventh generation

F7=99.2 Holstein 0.8 Simmental

The eighth generation

F8=99.6 Holstein 0.4 Simmental

Ninth generation

F9=99.8 Holstein 0.2 Simmental

tenth generation

F10=99.9 Holstein 0.1 Simmental

The eleventh generation

F11=99.95 Holstein 0.05 Simmental

The twelfth generation

F12=99.975 Holstein 0.025 Simmental

13th generation

F13=99.982 Holstein 0.012 Simmental

The fourteenth generation

F14 = 99.9 Holstein 0.01 Simmental

We reach 99.99 purity after 14 generations
Including every 2 years, a generation takes 24 years, which is the time of a lifetime.

Tip
1- Due to the cost and time spent to obtain high-purity cows, do not crossbreed these animals.

2- The cows of the fifth generation F5 and after that are considered cows with high blood purity and have standard characteristics and are placed at the level of 100 purity.
