Do you know Martin Seligman’s dogs?!!
Psychologist Martin A.P. Seligman conducted an experiment to identify helplessness, which won him the Nobel Prize in Psychology.
He trained 20 Xianlu dogs in a cage since they were babies, so that if needed, the dogs would press the pedal in the cage and go out and come back after toileting.
After training these dogs, he divided them into two cages and 10 collars in each cage.
Then he welded the lid of cage (experiment) B and gave electric shocks to cage B 3 times a day for 30 days.
In the first days, during the shock period, the dogs of cage B hit themselves against the bars of the cage because the door was locked, and they got bloody and wounded, and they did not get any results. But after a few days, the dogs realized that they would not succeed in trying, except that they would be injured and suffer a lot.
They learned to stand still when shocked because at least they were safe from injury.
At the end of the experiment, Seligman broke the door of the cage and joined them to the previous dogs in cage A (witness); The same healthy cage that was opened by pressing the door lever.
Then he gave an electric shock. What do you think happened??
All 10 test dogs pressed the lever and came out, but the (experimental) dogs stood still and did not move.
He came up with the greatest theory of the century, namely (helplessness is learnable).
It means that creatures learn to live miserable.
Now, those who only complain at home, at work, and in front of their friends are the same as Seligman’s dogs. They have learned to live miserable.
It is not true that they say that the people of Iran have not reached awareness.
Relying on these complaints, psychologists say no, people are all aware, but they are trapped in learned helplessness.
Unfortunately, we Iranians have to compromise with the misfortunes that befall us. We Iranians are learning to cope with misfortune.
And the government has well recognized that the reaction of the people is only to adapt and grumble.
If we deal with these conditions, the only thing that will remain for our generation will be the curse of future generations.
The least we can do is publish this article.
