Publication of the twenty-fifth issue of the conflict of interest management newsletter

The 25th issue of the conflict of interest management newsletter (and the 75th issue in the continuation of the series of newsletters dealing with corruption and conflict of interest) was published by the Center for Empowerment of Governance and Academic Jihad Society. In this newsletter, which covers the period from December 22 to 28, 2019, an analysis of the dispute over the bill and the conflict of interest management plan between the government and the parliament is presented. Also, the positions of cyberspace users regarding the conflict of interests and its dimensions have been examined and analyzed in the period of the newsletter.

Complaining about the lack of handling of the conflict of interest management bill in the parliament, President Rouhani said: fight against corruption, transparency and conflict of interest of these three bills are the priority of the people. Unfortunately, the parliament cares about its own plan and does not care about the government’s bills, and this is not in the interest of us and the country.

Abbas Ali Kodkhodaei, the spokesman of the Guardian Council, said about the conflict of interest management bill of the government: it is a good work from the point of view and it can solve many problems in the country at the management level and solve the concerns of the people.

Alireza Zakani, the representative of the people of Qom in the parliament and the head of the research center, said: The main problem of the country is the conflict of interests. Today’s conflict of interests has made us not have the will to reform.

Mohammad Reza Abdurrahimi, CEO of Mako Free Zone Organization, in order to promote administrative health in the processes related to contracts, transactions and recruitment of human resources, issued a directive on the management and prevention of conflicts of interest in Mako Free Zone in 13 articles.

Mohammad Reza Haddadzadeh, the Revolutionary Prosecutor of Yazd Province, said that in order to solve the problems and eradicate them in the society, monopolies should be clarified in all areas and the conflict of interests should be removed in general.

Ali Tomari, a member of the board of directors of the East Azerbaijan Engineering System Organization, resigned from the leadership of the Tabriz Municipal Technology Organization based on the letter of the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development in the implementation of the conflict of interest directive in the engineering system.
