By the decision of the Ministry of Industry, Mining and Trade, the export of onions and potatoes was banned from April 15.

Reza Rahmani, the Minister of Industry, Mining and Trade, in a letter sent to the Customs Department while announcing this ban, mentioned the management and regulation of the domestic market as the reason for this ban.
The price of onion and potato has increased significantly in recent days.

On the 5th of April, one of the officials of the Organization of Industry, Mining and Trade said that the price of each kilo of potatoes is up to six thousand tomans and onions up to 9,500 tomans.

But unconfirmed reports, especially on social networks, indicate that the price of each kilo of onion has exceeded 13 thousand tomans by Saturday.
