The CEO of Tehran Transport and Traffic Organization gave an explanation regarding the implementation time of the traffic plan at the same time as changing the working hours of the offices based on the approval of the government board.
According to the public relations report of the Transport and Traffic Organization of Tehran, Shahriar Efendizadeh, referring to the decision of the government to change the working hours of offices from June 15 to September 15, 1403, from 6:00 AM to 1:00 PM, said: The changes applied by the government are the implementation of the traffic plan in Tehran from 6:30 to 18:00 and there will be no changes.
Director General of Transportation and Traffic Organization of Tehran, referring to the statistics of movements made during the day and night in the capital city, added: the daily statistics in the city of Tehran are about 20 million trips, of which about 43% are business trips and about 18% are devoted to educational trips.
Efendizadeh stated that most of these trips are carried out simultaneously in the morning peak hours, adding: Educational trips account for about 60% of the 18% share of educational trips, which can decrease by 10% due to the closure of schools. and also considering the change of office working hours, it can be said that the share of employee trips in the public and government sector, which includes about 20% of the total work trips, with the implementation of the plan to change the office work hours, due to the shift of work trips is about 9 percent will decrease.
Referring to the simultaneous decrease in the number of educational trips of students and students, the CEO of Tehran Transport and Traffic Organization added: It is expected that in the morning peak hour, the morning traffic load will decrease by about 20% compared to the period before the implementation of the plan to change the working hours of offices and closures. Efendizadeh clarified: by positively evaluating the traffic impact of the plan to change the working hours of the offices, the employees of government and public institutions, who were currently entering the area between 7:30 and 8:30 in the morning, and leaving the area around 16:30 in the afternoon were forced to pay for the traffic plan during the peak hours, and with the implementation of the mentioned plan, because their arrival outside the plan and their departure during non-peak hours, more favorable conditions will be created for these people in terms of paying the fee, and this It is possible for them to travel at a lower cost than in the past.
