Types of universities in Iran

Types of universities in Iran:

1 ⃣ National University (Government):
Most of the first-class and standard universities in Iran are included in this category.
There are several types of admission to national universities:
1- daily
2- at night
3- Self-governing campus
4- Surplus capacity
Daily admission:
There is no fee for education, and in some universities such as Farhangian University, you are even paid a fee.
Night reception (second shift):
Its conditions are the same as the daily course, but a small fee is charged for tuition and a commitment for accommodation and food. There is no student. In addition, its only name is Shabana and the classes of this course are held during the day!
Self-governing campus admission:
In order to generate their own income, the top universities of the country accept a series of students in exchange for receiving a significant fee in addition to the daily students. (Except for receiving tuition, in other cases such as the value of the degree and professors, the conditions are the same as daily, and only the place of the classes may be different.)
Acceptance of excess capacity:
Universities that do not have a separate place under the title of self-governing campus accept a series of students under the title of excess capacity to generate their own income.

2⃣ Islamic Azad University:
A large university with a large number of branches (educational units) throughout the country, each of which has a series of fields and is lower than national universities in terms of scientific level, but on the other hand, its tuition is lower than self-governing campuses.

Payam Noor University:
The system of this university is semi-attendant, and its face-to-face classes are not held regularly, and students choose a series of courses in the first semester and test those courses at the end of the semester. Payam Noor University is one of the state universities, but it is scientifically inferior to national and free universities. Studying in this university is not free and tuition must be paid, but the price is much lower than free and night admission.

4⃣ non-profit university:
Relatively balanced cost and low academic level compared to national and free universities are the characteristics of these universities.

5⃣ University of applied science:
Admission is based solely on academic records and a balanced fee is one of the characteristics of these universities.
