According to the Fars news agency from Isfahan, citing the General Department of Public Relations and International Affairs of Isfahan Governorate, Omid Sharifi, head of the Economic Affairs Coordination Office of Isfahan Governorate, stated that Isfahan has not had a special economic zone so far and most of the provinces have been leaders in this field. Special economic zones play a significant role in economic development, especially in export-oriented products.
He added: One of the advantages of special economic zones is that investors benefit from many incentives, including various exemptions, special laws of special zones, customs exemptions, transit of raw materials, reverse export and many other advantages.
Stating that Isfahan has been deprived in this field so far, Sharifi pointed out: The creation and development of special economic zones is considered as one of the economic drivers of the province, and in the new management of the province, it is anticipated that we will have special economic zones in 4 parts of the province.

Sharifi stated that the Kashan Special Economic Zone was the first economic zone that is being completed in the north of Isfahan province, and stated that the Shahreza Special Economic Zone is one of the special economic zones planned in the south of the province, and the Eastern Special Economic Zone is also in the cities of Kuhpayeh and Harand have been planned and a special economic zone has been designed in Shahinshahr jointly with Hesa to cover the north and west of the province.
