Does Tekke Qajar “Darkhungah” become a parking lot?!
!!
Residents of Darkhungah neighborhood report the possibility of demolishing the Qajar pillar “Darkhungah” and turning it into a multi-story parking lot.
According to the report of “Heritage”, the residents say that this matter has been talked about for two or three years now, but this time the talks have become more serious, and it is for a property and a passage in the market near the intersection of Glubandak, where it has been agreed that this support along with the shops around it will be demolished in order to A multi-story parking lot should be built for that property instead!
Still, the municipality, cultural heritage and endowments have not reacted to this issue and have not confirmed or denied its authenticity?!
Despite all this, you can see a certain sadness on the faces of the residents. They say that once upon a time there was a bath named “Reza Qoli” in front of Takiye, which they destroyed and turned into an arcade. They say that Reza Gholi is the one who dedicated the shop and the surrounding shops.
According to the heritage report; Undoubtedly, Takiye Derkhungah is a name that cannot be removed from the memories of the people of Tehran and the memories of local mourning and is part of the city’s identity and the tangible and intangible heritage of the capital, and the cultural heritage, endowment and municipality cannot erase the religious memories and memories of a city to build a parking lot.
It is said that it is a carpentry workshop on normal days of the year, and during Muharram and Safar, it is a place of mourning.
They don’t want the originality of their support to be compared with a newly built parking lot even if a building with the same dimensions is given to them.
According to the heritage report; This Qajar support is called “Darkhungah” in Sangalj neighborhood. We are talking about a palm that belonged to the board of “Chal Maidani” and because every year there was a fight over this old palm and in one of the fights one of the residents was killed, this palm was cut into pieces as “Khunbas” and by the order of Naser al-Din Shah Qajar. It is given in the school.
Some narrate that the fight between these two neighborhoods was not over the date palm, but rather the conflict over which of the mourning groups would enter the Tehran market first.
Also, Abdullah Mostofi narrated in the book “Sharh Zangdani Man”: “Naseruddin Shah ordered to take their palms to the door of the house in order to embarrass the Chal Maidanis.”
Although they say that the name of this neighborhood was derived from the conflicts and quarrels in the “Darkhungah” neighborhood, but some say that ministers such as Mushir al-Sultaneh, Majdal Doulah, Mostofi al-Mamalek, etc. They lived in this neighborhood, that’s why they called this neighborhood “Khangah” and originally its name is “Darkhangah”.
Hamid Shirzadegan, one of the most important football players of the 1940s in Iran, Ismail Fasih, the writer, and Fereydon Jirani, the director, are residents of this neighborhood.
