I am deeply saddened by the passing away of Mohammadreza Shajarian, a professor of Iranian classical music. That unique artist makes the soul of Iranian people and the hearts of all those interested in the “Golden Nightingale of Iran” fly. His position is irreplaceable.
The people of Croatia and I, their ambassador in Iran, share in the grief of the people of Iran and express our deepest sympathy to the family of Shajarian and the sea of devoted fans and lovers of heavenly music and his unique personality.
This great artist and man, who has attracted the lives of many people with his angelic voice and gifted them with the sky of feeling; Covered with white and red Iranian roses, he left for an unforgettable eternity.
