The Ministry of Cultural Heritage is obliged to defend the fabric of the Shiraz National Register
According to the report of the Heritage, a project titled “Detailed-Executive Plan of the Shahcheragh Shrine and Surroundings” with an area of about 57 hectares or 570 thousand square meters was commissioned by the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development and the Executive Organization of Public Buildings and Facilities and by the engineers of “Declaration of Environmental Design” It will be prepared and proposed tomorrow in the Committee of 3 Roads and Urban Planning and then in the Supreme Council of Architecture and Urban Planning.
‼ Is the Ministry of Cultural Heritage with the multitude of plans that were prepared during the time of the former vice president of cultural heritage with the research institute and the late “Yuka Yukihilto” and also the issue of registering the historical fabric of Shiraz, which now applies the national registration law to all parts of this fabric, including walls, floors, walls , shells, previous registered buildings, valuable buildings and even its vegetation governs. Has he expressed an opinion on the subject plan?!
1. Since the historical context of Shiraz was registered in the list of national works of Iran with the efforts of experts, activists, concerned people and media members in the field of cultural heritage and some officials last year, now the national registration law governs it. And the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, in the face of a registered work, must clearly state its position on all parts of the plan, not even a single brick that is laid or removed.
2. According to the law, all institutions are required to comply with the rules governing the field of national registration works.
3⃣ Even the Ministry of Heritage cannot order the destruction of a work registered in the list of national works of Iran, even if it is the historical context of Shiraz.
Therefore, the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, the Office of Buildings, Areas and Historical Textures, and the Office of Bases Affairs, as the guardians of preserving the historical texture of Shiraz, and according to the records of the plans prepared and the credits paid for their implementation, should express their opinion clearly and clearly in about this plan and inform the relevant institutions and the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development.
