Al-Mizan’s exchange with a verse of Iraj Mirza’s poem:
Ayatollah Alavi Borujerdi, in a shocking quote from Allameh Tabataba’i, which he himself witnessed, states that the late Allameh asked him to repeat a verse in a religious meeting when the religious leader was reciting a certain poem by Iraj Miraz. And he shed tears so much that he repeated this up to four times and then he said: I wish Iraj Mirza would give me that particular poem or a verse of his poem that he wrote in the description of Hazrat Ali Akbar, peace be upon him. He gave and I used to give Al-Mizan to him.
Allameh Tabatabai’s opinion meant this verse:
After the son of the heart of the father, he was shot
They set fire to the nest of the flying chicken!
Ayatollah Alavi Boroujerdi continues:
I asked the late Allameh Tabatabai, do you know Iraj Mirza? He is a satirist.
Allameh says: Yes, I know him and I also have his book of poetry. Then Allameh says with Zalik, I wish Iraj Mirza would give me this line of his poetry and I would give Al-Mizan to him.
And he continues: I don’t think anyone wrote such a verse about Hazrat Ali Akbar, Imam Hussain (A.S.).
