*Installation of more than 100 pieces of traffic equipment on the highways and roads of region 14*
The deputy of transport and traffic of region 14 announced the installation of traffic equipment in the roads and highways of the region in order to secure and smooth traffic in this region.
According to the public relations report of Region 14 Municipality, Mehdi Varasteh said: In order to address the situation and update the traffic equipment and elements, more than 100 pieces of traffic equipment have been installed in the highways and roads of the region.
Referring to the importance of taking care of the condition of traffic equipment in order to reveal and secure them, he said: For this purpose, traffic equipment has been installed and repaired in Mahalati, Imam Ali (a.s.), Basij and main streets of the region.
Explaining the actions of the traffic transportation deputy in order to increase traffic safety and citizens’ satisfaction, Varasteh said: Based on this, more than 36 traffic barriers, 42 danger signs, 16 pedestrian signs, 12 crane handling signs, 12 name signs, etc. It has been installed and positioned in axes and passages.
Varasteh continued: In addition to the restoration and installation of traffic elements, in order to ensure the safety of as many citizens as possible, the installation of speed bumps, geometric correction and axial and pedestrian markings around schools, mosques, parks and the main and secondary streets of the region have been implemented.
In the end, he pointed to the installation of wheelchair signs, collection and repair of guardrails, and geometric correction in some intersections and accident-prone areas of the region as other activities carried out. Replacement and repair of worn signs, installation of safety cylinders and repair and revision of traffic lights and overall updating of traffic equipment and elements continues after specialized needs assessment.
