It is not without pleasure to read it
You wanted me to write a summary of 16 years away from Iran
What I have learned so far from my migration:
- Appreciate the sun: I never thought that many people in the world would wait for the sun for months. Here, having a sunny day alone is an important reason for happiness, so much so that on a sunny day, people reach out and – even in their emails – express their happiness and wish each other to enjoy that sunny day.
- It doesn’t matter if I’m a cop or a vagrant, I have to surrender when a kid points his gun at me.
- Difference: I think this is the main issue in the world, if we accept the difference, maybe there will be less war in the world. I realized that the world is full of differences. Someone likes to be gay or someone likes to wear hijab. This is the difference and all these people can live together in peace.
- Loneliness: I realized that I am not dependent on someone else to be happy. You can take your book and sit in the corner of a cafe and enjoy your life and solitude and be happy.
- Old age: I understood that the barber shop is for the age of 60 and beyond. I have to go to the barber shop once a week from that age. I always wear a little makeup and wear the most stylish clothes. It is enough for a young person to exercise and be beautiful.
- My priorities have changed: I realized that fun should be my first option. For my son, it is not useful to know special skills and multiple languages, nor to solve complex equations and win Olympiads, I just have to create happy memories for him. I realized that my house and clothes are not important, but it is important how many trips a year I go and how many times a week I go to restaurants. I was created to create happiness.
- Relationship: I realized that I want to love only love. It doesn’t matter if he is with me tomorrow or not. The important thing is this moment and our love for time
- Class: I realized that in today’s world, there is no such thing as being more classy, and in fact, they say here: “Nose”. Maybe they greet each other in the elevator and chat on the street and take the rest of their food with them in the restaurant.
- I realized that short and stylish clothes are not only for the fit ones. I learned not to have a problem with my appearance. The world is full of fat people with big noses and blemished skin, and no one is upset about it.
- I realized that people are simpler than we imagine and I learned not to constantly ask myself: What did he mean by this? But I only hear what someone says. That’s it.
- To praise people and express my feelings: it doesn’t matter if we are colleagues or professors and students, not beautiful clothes but to praise the beautiful words of others and their kindness, people and I all need to be seen.
- I realized that all people need patriotism. This is the seed of our identity. No matter how sad someone is about his country, his mouth opens up with laughter whenever the name of his country comes up.
