These repairs have coincided with the anticipated start of production at the Yimante factory in Jingzhou, Hubei province (a joint venture between DSM and Nenter), which is considered one of the most important factors in the future pricing of vitamin E. The plant was previously expected to be operational by the end of December, with the aim of increasing production in 2021 by achieving a maximum nominal capacity of 16,000 tons per year of vitamin E in oil form.

The global price of vitamin E has been growing in recent weeks due to limited supply, high costs of raw materials and lack of inventory. Compared to last week, the price of vitamin E has increased from 8.7 to 9.2 dollars per kilogram to 8.5 to 9 dollars per kilogram under FOB China shipping conditions; But domestic Chinese prices have increased from 75 to 80 yuan per kilogram to 80 to 83 yuan per kilogram. In America, the supply of vitamin E is very limited, and buyers expect the market to be more balanced in the second and third seasons of this year; Because supply chain disruptions in China are eased and production increases.
