A talk with Iranian thinkers and scientists

A talk with Iranian thinkers and scientists

Hello and greetings to the presence of dear teachers and guests
I would like to take this opportunity to raise a topic that has been occupying my mind for some time;
You know very well that our society has faced several complex and fundamental challenges at the same time

First: The society is revolutionary and in transition from its revolutionary identity crisis

Second: A society is developing and adapting to the new identity of the industrial society

Third: The unconscious entry into the information age or the fourth wave of the industrial revolution, which has destabilized and shaken many strong and stable economic, social and political structures in other countries, alas, our transitioning society!

Our society, after aimlessly passing through the era of traditional agriculture and feudal lord system – until the 40s – without going through the period of transition from agriculture to trade, has been thrown directly into the stage of the industrial system, which has several reasons – and is beyond the scope of our discussion. – and during this historical launch, it also made a revolution and in short, it got involved in numerous philosophical debates, and it has not yet overcome these two challenges, when it suddenly opened its eyes and got caught in the violent waves of the fourth wave of the industrial revolution, the information revolution, and now it is under the rubble. Why and how and how he struggles.
There is no doubt that in such a situation, what he writes as laws, principles, and foundations is not suitable for his current situation and he does not act on it, and what he does, ties a knot on the previous knots.

Passing from traditional religious theories to the practical test of modern political, economic and social theories and reaching a safe and peaceful shore involves several generations and takes time.

Between the small and the big, the old and the young, everyone is involved in a huge set of questions and riddles.
I don’t know which country in the world has experienced 3 major historical, social and political transformations in less than 50-60 years, and Iran is the second one, and how is it going to get out of these 3 whirlpools?

So far, I have tried everything to find a similar one in other countries of the world, but I have not succeeded, and I really don’t know how we Iranians can get out of this historical challenge.

Perhaps it is these complications that made the idea of another military government in the style of Reza Shah Pahlavi attractive to the people and some elites, because the previous pseudo-democratic methods did not meet our national needs!!

The only thing I know and understand is that whether our society knows it or not, whether it wants it or not, it desperately needs its great thinkers to guide this stormy ship to the shore of peace.

What worries me – so the 3 aforementioned challenges – is whether our elite society; Is he ready to accept such a responsibility or not?
Has our elite society actually entered into the discussion of solving these challenges or not?
Our elite society needs far stronger and more effective collective organizations and reflections than anything it has done in the last hundred years.

In the end, as an ordinary citizen, I request you and other elders to think of forums to get out of the challenges, to first prepare a list of problems and then look for solutions.
Certainly, connecting government institutions with scientific institutions is one of the dozens of problems of the country that must be addressed.

I wish for you and all hardworking and responsible scientists and thinkers of Iran, with all my heart, prosperity and increasing success.

Sincerely, Shahram Yazdi, April 3, 1400
