Gentamox

#Gentamox
(GENTAMOX)
Pharmaceutical group
Antibiotic – injectable sterile suspension
Medicinal composition
Amoxicillin (trihydrate) 150 mg/ml
Gentamicin (sulfate) 40 mg/ml
Oily expans up to a volume of one milliliter

Mechanism of action
Due to the synergistic effects of gentamicin and amoxicillin, this drug acts as a broad-spectrum bactericidal antibiotic. Amoxicillin is effective against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. This substance prevents the synthesis of the bacterial wall. Gentamicin is an aminoglycoside compound that has a broad-spectrum and fast action and mainly acts as an inhibitor of protein synthesis in the ribosome of bacteria. The destruction of the bacterial wall following the action of amoxicillin allows better penetration of gentamicin into so that a better result is obtained in lower doses.

Drug feature
This drug has stability and suitable injection ability. The raw and active ingredients of Gentamox are microionized, and the use of a special excipient provides a stable product with excellent release capabilities. Due to the use of this medicine, there are no negative reactions at the injection site, and the suspension stability of this product is higher than other similar products. Pharmacokinetic studies conducted on Gentamox have proven that this product has high bioavailability. This means that the therapeutic concentration of this drug remains in the blood for a longer period of time, which is related to the oil excipient and the characteristics of the antibiotics used. As a result, unlike most products formulated with gentamicin that must be used every 8 to 12 hours, this drug can be used every 24 hours.
