With respect, as you know, the historical context of Shiraz with an approximate area of 357 hectares has about twelve thousand plaques with different uses related to different historical periods, of which 410 works of the national register of about 30 Imamzadehs and nearly 2,500 plaques are valuable.
One of the unique values of the historical context of Shiraz is the organic coexistence of the three categories of residence, life and pilgrimage, which presents the historical city of Shiraz, along with the two cities of Mashhad and Qom, as exceptional cities of Iran, where the issue of pilgrimage is also present in its historical context.
In addition to the existence of numerous historical works and buildings in this area, this historical context was the residence of great people such as Hafez, Saadi, Mulla Sadra and hundreds of great cultural figures of Iran, and in this sense, it is considered one of the unique and exceptional cities.
On the other hand, the compact and organic texture of the city and its unique houses have distinguished this city from other cities in hot and dry regions of Iran.
The unique architectural elements of Shiraz houses, such as special entrances, the type of central courtyard and the organization of spaces, as well as Shiraz-style decorations, are among the characteristics of this historical area, and special urban spaces, such as neighborhood centers and governmental urban spaces of the Zandiyeh period, are among the characteristics of this historical city, which It has made Shiraz different from other historical cities of the country.
