I point out the points that others did not.
line of thought;
After introducing yourself, explain your background in the same portfolio on one page. Who influenced you? Both artistically and philosophically. I don’t think they will really read all your explanations in separate files during the application season. But they definitely read the portfolio. If Ethan’s artwork has been sold or won an art award or was selected and participated in an exhibition inside or outside the country, be sure to mention it. You have done public benefit works (such as allocating a part of the sales income to charitable works) and you have done managerial or educational works, for example, you were the art director of an exhibition or you taught art to others, definitely mention it. It has a good effect on the views of the audience. But short and finally two pages.
Be sure to mention your name and surname at the bottom of each page.
I saw this in the notice of one of the universities because it was written that people’s portfolios are confused.
Thank you at the end of the file.
About the content;
Be confident. Do not be afraid to introduce yourself. Your tasks should not be six or eight. Introduce one or two lines of thought that are unique to your worldview. Do not copy works. Even if you only copy space. Don’t forget that your viewer is an expert in this area and will notice fraud. Keep your framing simple. It is up to you to choose dark or light background. But do not crowd the negative space. Focus should be on your work. The space should frame your work. Negative space is not supposed to be seen.
good luck
