Ramsar’s eight-hectare garden
A natural-historical area in the central core of Ramsar city, if it is not registered in the list of national monuments of Iran, a fate such as issuing a permit to create a new street and destroying the historical context of Khomeinishahr is waiting for it.
It is true and evident that the main reason for opposing and preventing the registration of this natural-historical work, such as Khomeini Shahr, is none other than Javad Vahedi, the legal deputy of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, who, with the help and guidance of the city officials, has disrupted the process of registering this area for almost 8 months. is
The garden known as eight hectares of Ramsar, meanwhile, was divided among themselves by special organizations as a war booty and they agreed to clear it for construction, which is a piece of the puzzle of the cultural-natural-historical landscape of Ramsar and has the capacity to become a global tourism brand of the country. It has Ramsar Wetlands next to the convention brand.
This garden is located in the vicinity of the registered area of the Citrus Research Institute and is an integral part of the area of about 90 hectares of the cultural-natural-historical landscape of Ramsar with more than 10 registered areas such as the 33-hectare Ramsar garden, the complex of historical hotels and guesthouses, and the Moalem-Boulevard garden, which is In 2007, with the efforts of heritage lovers and cultural heritage organization of that time, it was included in the temporary list of UNESCO world registration. A topic that we will discuss in the near future.
The importance of registering this collection is multiplied by the fact that a scientific-research garden was established in the year 1310 solar to conduct modern and organic animal-agricultural-horticultural research by the Department of Agriculture at that time in a forest area, and its scope is based on historical texts and archaeological findings, with The site of the Islamic period of Garmeroud has a perfect match, and this claim has the official approval of the Archaeological Research Institute of the country.
Numerous buildings related to the Qajar and Pahlavi eras, along with unique plant diversity and a cover of Hyrcanian forests, are other indisputable indicators of the need to register this area in the list of works of Iran.
The citizens of Ramsari, experts, intellectuals, non-governmental groups and people of Iran have not been sleeping peacefully for a long time and by launching a campaign and collecting petitions and with repeated requests from government and regulatory institutions, they are waiting for another courage from Mr. Zarghami and Mr. Darabi to hurry up. They are registering this work to be a barrier against looting and dismemberment of this national wealth of the country.
