A memory of the late professor Dr. Nasser Katouzian in the introduction of the book “Judicial Justice”; Excerpt of #opinions:

One day, I went to visit the late Dr. Abdul Hossein Aliabadi, the late professor of the #Law and Political Sciences Faculty, who was the #Attorney General of the country for a long time and had a fatherly kindness to me as well. He was in bed; A bed from which he did not rise again. Seeing me and one of my friends, he sat down with difficulty and looking at one of my last writings that I had with me, I read the spark of happiness in his eyes. The wise and scholarly old man, in the same condition of illness, was happy and satisfied to see that the #generation after him did not abandon the pursuit of work and that the flame of #love for #justice still has sparks. He talked about every door until his turn came to the necessity of the piety of the judge and the fear of divine justice. Suddenly, a man who was famous for seeking #justice and extensive information made a confused face. We were talking about his fame and success, and he was trying to hide a teardrop, which shone like a pearl in the corners of his eyes and warmed his heart, under the shade of a mystical smile. Finally, in a calm tone and under the same sad smile, he said:

“A long time ago, in the #case in which the #Criminal #Court had ordered the #execution and it was brought up for a separate hearing in the #Supreme_Court, based on the #extrinsic_evidence, I #requested #Abram and I am afraid that the whole #truth I have not seen and my mistake has contributed to the waste of innocent blood.

He knew that breaking the sanctity of human blood is an unforgivable sin in front of divine justice, and it has been repeated in the news of the innocent that on the last day, the first question is about innocent blood. Among the many lovers of justice, there were not few such men who saw #courage in the fear of God in their way.

While he was anxiously talking about the possibility of his error, my mind could not help but notice the opposite examples; Those who, with their little wealth and without proper knowledge of #judiciary, #judiciary, and #law knowledge, proudly rely on the #judgment bench and rule with complete composure and recklessness, as if they have mastered their usurped #inheritance. . I used to say to myself: In this noisy and diverse world, not only is there a deep gap between “what is” and “what should be”, the difference of #conscience is also exemplary and instructive: this one, after many years of #experience and #research And having the highest #educational qualifications from the prestigious universities of the world and with all that curiosity and #caution, he is worried about Abram’s request to obey the order given by someone else and another authority should obey it or #violate it; And that one, like the #autocratic governors, rules and does not pay attention to the #laws and the effects of his ruling on the blood, #property, and wealth of the people. Unaware of the fact that “Jeres is screaming for you to close the bags”. [1]
