On Wednesday, on the sidelines of the 18th Congress of Reproductive Medicine, Dr. Hamid Gourabi told IRNA reporter: after cultivation, human pluripotent stem cells are transferred into the embryos of large farm animals, such as goats, which do not have the ability to make their own livers, so that this organ after Being made in the body of an animal, it can be transferred to humans.

He stated: Good measures have been taken in the world in relation to small animals and our researchers have been able to achieve good success in this field in the mouse animal model. But the artificial liver must be of real size, so this research activity of ours is focused on large mammals so that the specific organ can be used.
Pointing out that this project is in the early stages, the head of Royan Research Institute stated: If this research project achieves the desired result, its results can be used to build other organs of the body.
He also mentioned the activities of Royan Research Institute in the field of animal cloning and said: Sanen goat, Royana sheep and Banyana calf are among the achievements of this scientific and research complex in the last few years.
He continued: We are trying to mass produce these great achievements of the country with relevant cooperation in the field of animal husbandry, and we have achieved success in this field in Bez Sanen.
He stated: The simulation of Qomishlo ram was done as an example in this research institute and the ability to simulate endangered animals is also available in this research institute.
The 18th International Congress of Reproductive Medicine along with the 13th International Congress of Stem Cells and the 12th Nursing and Midwifery Seminar in Reproductive Medicine will be held from September 8 to 10 at Milad Tower Conference Hall.
