Finally, the currency of 4,200 tomans has been officially removed by the Central Bank and the exchange rate is sitting at 9,000 tomans.
Regarding the removal of Jahangiri currency (4,200 Tomans), there has been talk since 2018 and its allocation was reduced month by month and it was allocated to more limited items.
With the complete removal of this exchange rate of 4,200 Tomans, unfortunately, we witnessed a significant increase in the price of basic consumer items such as animal feed, wheat, barley, corn, medicine, oil, chemical fertilizers, and as a result protein products (red meat, chicken, fish) and agricultural products (rice, fruit,…) and food.
