Interview request date: April 23, 2019
Embassy email date: May 5, 2019
Interview date: July 24, 2019
Visa approval date by the Residence Department: September 11, 2019
Passport delivery date to the embassy: September 19, 2019
And a few points:
First: Don’t pay attention to the rumors, that some people say that the embassy does not issue visas and that your father must come to get a visa, so don’t worry. Yes, it is very difficult, but if you have a good academic position in Austria, continue your work with strength.
Second: follow the cartoon only by yourself. Do not go to the agency or dealer because they only take money and ruin your cartoon. One of my friends, although he had a very good financial case, but because the brokers in front of the embassy told him that there is no need for a hostel and just leave the correspondence with the hostel, his case was rejected, as simple as that. Use the experiences of other children, especially in this group. Collect information, but don’t give free money to anyone and don’t leave your fate in anyone’s hands.
Third: Friends, don’t show a lot of money in the financial proof unless you can prove it. I, my wife, had more than 12,000 euros in her account, and the residence department got the money from me
he asked
Fourth: Be sure to get Austrian insurance for both yourself and your companion (the residence office does not accept student or Schengen travel insurance on its own), because even if the embassy does not want it, the residence office will ask you for it. I didn’t get it for my wife when she asked me to. You don’t have to give money to the insurance company, just give them the insurance offer, they will accept it.
Fifth: Be honest with the residence office about your financial issues. If you say something that you cannot prove (of course, if they ask you to prove it), they will find out that you are lying. For example, he asked me about my wife’s account, where is the source of the money in his account, and I told him in a bilingual letter (English and German) that during the last two years, I put money into his account, which they accepted, and he didn’t even ask me for my own statement. I mean, if he wanted, I could prove it and it wouldn’t be a problem. So don’t lie at all.
Sixth: If you borrowed money for financial support, it is better to keep it in your account until you get a visa (of course, if you can do this) because they may ask you again, just like they asked me and my wife to show support. Of course, we had not borrowed and had no problems.
Seventh: In the list of embassy documents, it is written that the dormitory lease is not required. But you must definitely get a dormitory. Booking a hostel alone is not enough and you must pay in advance and get your hostel confirmation letter because correspondence and reservations are not approved by the accommodation department. They should know where you are staying before your trip. Take this issue seriously. Do not take a formal lease because the residence office will inquire.
Eighth, there is no need to pay a fee for a student visa, so the 150 euro accommodation fee is not included in the student visa.
In the end, your case officer in the residence department is the most important and versatile person in your case, and he is the one who makes the final decision about your residence permit. So be honest with him and write or email very politely and professionally and give your explanations. Do not try to hide and give a bad answer to the officer. Your correspondence with the residence office should be completely official.
I’m sorry if I exaggerate, but because I went this way alone and had a lot of difficulty, I wanted to share my experiences with you dear ones.
Be happy and successful.
Your friend, Homan
