#Fori, there is a risk of immediate execution of the death sentences of four political prisoners
The families of four political prisoners: #Pazhman_Fatihi, #Mohsen_Mazloum, #Mohammed_Faramarzi and #Wafa_Azerbar were called to meet. Since last week’s continuous efforts of the family’s lawyer to register the resumption of proceedings in the Supreme Court were unsuccessful. Considering similar examples and previous records of the Islamic Republic, there is a serious risk that the death sentences of these four people will be executed in the next few hours and other mothers will be bereaved.

“This evening, the law enforcement branch and security institutions contacted the families of four Kurdish political prisoners to visit Evin prison early tomorrow morning to meet their children. This action coincides with the fact that last week’s continuous efforts of the families’ lawyers to file a petition for retrial in the Supreme Court were rejected. Considering similar examples and previous records of the Islamic Republic, there is a serious risk that the death sentences of these four people will be executed in the next few hours and other mothers will be bereaved. The families of these prisoners are now on their way to Tehran and to Evin prison. We ask the people of Tehran and all freedom-loving people to join them, and we expect human rights institutions and international organizations to take urgent and effective measures to prevent these executions.”
