The correct way to vibrate concrete
Vibrating concrete is one of the vital steps to achieve optimal compaction and prevent air voids in concrete structures. Follow the steps below:
1. Choosing the right vibrator: For small structures, use manual vibrators and for large projects, use industrial vibrators.
2. Vibration depth and distance: insert the vibrator head vertically into the concrete and move it at intervals of 30 to 50 cm.
3. Duration of vibration: Do the vibration for 5 to 15 seconds, until the air bubbles stop and the concrete surface is smooth.
4⃣ Avoiding excessive vibration: excessive vibration causes stone grains to separate and reduce the quality of concrete.
