The professor posted on linkedin that they are looking for a researcher to apply for the Marie Curie postdoc fellowship and asked interested people to send cv.
I also sent my cv and a few days later they messaged me to talk on Skype.
In the end, with the consultation of the professor, the scope of the proposal was determined, and within a few months, I wrote the proposal with the help of the professor, and I participated in two master classes that the university had for writing proposals, and I listened to the talks of people who were accepted in previous years, and finally the proposal I submitted and fortunately after 5 months when the answers came, we were accepted.
Tip 1: Don’t worry too much about your CV. It is enough to have a few first-name articles in your field in Q1 journals. The teacher’s resume is also important, but it is more important that the teacher really helps and spends time, otherwise it will be difficult to win the fellowship alone. Also, it is better if you have a secondment (a second institution where you can spend up to 8 months).
Note 2:
The proposal has three parts. The first part of excellence: the main idea is to prove to the reviewer that your cartoon is innovative and compare it with the state of the art. It should be discussed about the professor’s profile and mentoring experiences and projects he has had. About your experiences as well as the methods of knowledge transfer between you and the host professor. About how your data will be reliable and how you will respect open science. References should be made about project management
The second part of impact: the impact of winning the fellowship on you in the short and long term
The impact of fellowship in economics and science, especially in Europe
How to present project results to academics and ordinary people (dissemination and communication)
The implementation part: a Gantt chart should be presented for the proposal and specify your tasks for each stage of the proposal, and each time point when you get to print an article or present a conference or hold a workshop should be specified precisely.
A table should be presented for the existing risks and how to manage them
And a paragraph about the facilities of the host university, both in terms of reception and human resources, and in terms of the desired equipment, should be said about the project.
Note 3: If the topic of the proposal is in line with the research priorities of the European Union, the probability of winning will increase.
Tip 4: The more detailed the excellence section is written, the better and the probability of winning increases.
