The heirs of Par Som Simorgh in Ferdowsi’s Shahnameh
There is a strange narrative in Ferdowsi’s Shahnameh.
When Zal wanted to say goodbye to Simorgh, Simorgh gave three of his feathers to Zal and said: Whenever you are in trouble, burn the feathers so that I can help you.
Years pass. Rudaba, Zal’s wife, becomes pregnant with Rostam and falls on her deathbed unable to give birth.
Zal Horasan sets fire to the first Simorgh feather. Simorgh comes to the aid of his wife and child and saves them from death.
At the end of his life and before his death, Zal gives two more feathers to Rostam so that he can set them on fire in times of need.
Years pass and Rostam suffers many wounds in the war with a warrior named Esfandiar and is desperate to defeat him.
Rostam sets the second feather on fire.
Simorgh is revealed.
He cures Rostam and reveals the secret of Esfandiar’s defeat.
Rostam wins.
But here is the secret that Ferdowsi has been hiding for centuries.
Ferdowsi did not specify the assignment of the third part.!!
Nowhere in the Shahnameh is there any mention of the third part.
The fate of the third feather in the curtain is a mystery.
Even when Rostam is caught in the battle between the black and white demons in Haftkhuan,
Or he is defeated by Sohrab in the first battle, he does not burn the third feather.
Or when Nabarder is caught by poisonous arrows in the well of Shaghad, he is killed, but he does not set the third feather on fire. !
What is more valuable than his life that accepts death, but keeps the third feather?
Why?
To whom did Rostam entrust the third part?
Who should get the third feather?
And when will it be set on fire?
The mythological literature of Iran is a hotbed of allusions and deep and mysterious signs.
Allusions whose origin is the embodiment of the hopes and dreams of the inhabitants of the Iranian plateau.
With his historical and sociological intelligence, Ferdowsi had predicted the dark days of his country.
Chu laughed at Jahan Shahyar
A thousand years of association on him
The hidden journey of the wise men
The names of the madmen were scattered
He became an art lover, magical, honorable
Nahan rasti, openly, bite
He didn’t know how to learn except crookedly
Except from killing and looting and burning
In a romantic and mysterious interpretation, Ferdowsi has made the dawn of hope liberating from the misery of Iranians in every period of this history, a hidden percentage.
Believing that there is still a way for Iranians to be happy.
History proves this claim.
Iran is the home of Simorgh and we are descendants of Rostam and Zalim.
We are the heirs of the third Simorgh.
