Salary approval for 2019

The text of the resolution dated 20/1/2019 of the Supreme Labor Council
After reciting the Qur’an and discussing the topics discussed in the agenda of the meeting, the following decisions were made and approved by the members.

Approvals:

1- The minimum wage is set at 611,809 (six hundred and eleven thousand eight hundred and nine Rials) in 2019.

2- Other wage levels will be increased by 15% daily in addition to the 30,338 rials of the last wage (fixed or the basis of Article 36 of the Labor Law) from the beginning of 2019.

Note- By applying the increase of this paragraph, the job wages of workers included in the job classification plans approved by the Ministry of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare, as well as the fixed wages of other workers, should not exceed the daily amount of 611/809 Rials (six hundred and eleven thousand eight hundred and nine Rials) of the paragraph be less than 1

The units subject to the labor law can (after obtaining the necessary permits from the Ministry of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare) increase wages beyond the wage approvals of this law.

3- The base rate of seniority in 2019 for workers with permanent and temporary contracts subject to the labor law who have one year of work experience or one year has passed since receiving their last base (seniorship) in the same workshop, regardless of whether the right of seniority or 58,333 Rials (Fifty Eight Thousand Three Hundred and Thirty Three Rials) per day is determined whether or not they have settled their severance benefits.

Note (1)- The basic rate (years) of the workers included in the job classification schemes for group 1 will be the mentioned amount and its ceiling in group 20 will be 63,933 Rials (sixty three thousand nine hundred and thirty three Rials) and for other groups Action will be taken based on the announcement table of the General Department of Labor Relations and Compensation.

Note (3) – Seasonal workers will be awarded the amount stipulated in this paragraph (or Note (1) as the case may be) in proportion to their working period in 2018.

4- The amount of allowance for household consumables as well-being and motivational benefits under Note 3, Article 36 of the Labor Law is 4,000,000 Rials (four million Rials) paid by employers.

5- The way of implementing this resolution regarding wage workers will be based on the directives of the General Department of Labor Relations and Compensation.

6- This resolution will not include students who work in units subject to the labor law during summer vacations.

7- Employers who want to pay more than the provisions of this decree to their workers will be allowed by observing the principles of productivity and in the form of an agreement between the parties and with the approval of the Ministry of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare.
