A collective statement of experts, activists and the field of cultural heritage, tourism and handicrafts

The minister should be selected from among the people who have political and managerial status and ability to interact widely and effectively with other institutions.

Now that for the first time, the president-elect has asked the experts to form his cabinet, and he is trying to provide the opportunity to think together and gather the opinions of experts in each field, following the discussions about the selection committee for the minister of cultural heritage, handicrafts and tourism. We consider it necessary to bring the following matters to their attention and the government’s strategic council:

1. We know that being a member of the cabinet is a political matter and the minister, more than being an expert or a complete expert or an expert on the ministry’s activities, should have a political position and ability in the macro-management. However, having a minimum of knowledge in the subjects of the subcategory and relative familiarity with the body of the ministry is a necessary condition for running the ministry.

2. The Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism has three separate but related fields of activity. At the same time, it is a ministry that has a cultural infrastructure with significant economic functions at the national level. Therefore, mere expertise in any of the mentioned areas cannot guarantee success in the administration of the Ministry of Education and Culture; Rather, someone should take over the administration of this ministry, who has a macro view and is able to apply cross-departmental management and choose his deputies in the mentioned fields from among the expert, creative and young managers.

3. It is not possible to promote the ministry of M.G.S. in advancing its goals and plans without interacting with other ministries and governing institutions, including representatives of the Islamic Council. The minister should be chosen from among the people who have the political and managerial status and ability to interact widely and effectively with other institutions and can provide their support and participation to identify, protect and introduce cultural heritage as well as promote tourism and handicrafts.

4. It is clear that the integration of the three areas of cultural heritage, handicrafts and tourism in the form of an organization (and then the ministry) could not achieve the outlined goals and perspectives and create serious changes in these areas. The managerial instability of the mentioned ministry as well as the placement of inappropriate people at its head made the process of integration and synergy of these areas worse and by marginalizing the infrastructure affairs, this institution suffered daily life. It is necessary for the elected minister to return the ministry to its original path and, while changing and correcting the current approaches, introduce young and fresh professionals into this group and make an effort to rebuild the ministry’s human resources, which have been severely depleted in the past two decades. .

In view of the above-mentioned matters and in order to strengthen the position of the Ministry of Education and Culture in the 14th government and apply macro-management to this ministry, we recommend the following people for the tenure of this ministry according to their management records. We remind you that this proposal is made without the knowledge of these people, and it is hoped that, in addition to being welcomed by the working group for the introduction of the minister of M.G.S., it will also meet with their willingness and acceptance.
