A letter from Mohsen Renani, a professor at Isfahan University:

Dear teachers,
Hello,
For forty years, we have taught most of our youth and sent them to university.
But everything got worse.

Our traffic accidents increased.
The waste of our bread increased.
Our air pollution has increased.
Our class gap widened.
Embezzlement cases in our judiciary increased.
The number of our prisoners increased
And the immigration of our elites increased.

So stop teaching.
Teaching our children is simple.
We don’t need scientists anymore, we have an extreme shortage of capable people.

So please teach our children only life skills.
to them,
to talk
the imagination
creativity,
tolerance
patience
the past
friendship with nature,
having the ability to apologize,
love animals
enjoy the leaves of the tree,
running and playing
to be happy
enjoy the music,
to sing
smell the flower
to be silent
hearing and listening
to trust
to love
To tell the truth and
Learn to be honest.

believe me
If our children do not know when a certain dynasty came and when it left,
And they don’t know what the result of multiplying 114 times 114 will be.
And they don’t know whether to enter the bathroom with the left foot or the right foot.
Nothing is missing from God’s creation;
But if they want to live,
and to love
and self-esteem
and resilience
and non-aggression,
If they don’t practice, their lives will be empty, and then to fill these voids, they will do a lot of damage to themselves, others, and nature.

Please for our children.
read poetry
teach them music,
let them sing together
Let everyone draw just one picture together to learn cooperation.
Let them sleep when they want to.
And they don’t learn when their brains don’t kill.

Please do not take away childhood from our children.
Let them believe for themselves.
Do not take away the opportunity of free and conscious faith from them.
Leave their language free for criticism.
Don’t stutter them out of fear of what you consider sacred.

Let them be themselves and do not institutionalize hypocrisy and hypocrisy in them from now on.

Now that you and we and our children are all captives of an outdated education system, let’s at least have each other’s air.
Do not take your lacks, difficulties, sorrows and complexes to the classes.
May God make you a god in your classes, not a captain.
May God have mercy on you and us and our children will be well educated
