The first person who predicted Iran’s religious revolution was the Shah himself.

In 1356, the printing house of National Iranian Oil Company published a Kurdish book named:
#Toward the gates of great civilization
It was a book with a thick blue court cover, but it was a pocket book, maybe more than a thousand pages, and it had four chapters, the first chapter of Iran before Reza Shah, the second chapter of Iran from 1320 to 1356, and the fourth part of the book Iran Towards a Great Civilization, which was written by Mohammad Reza Pahlavi.
In the middle of 1357, when this book was being set on fire in front of the central building of the National Iranian Oil Company on Takht Jamshid Street, I managed to pick up a copy of this book. It was interesting to me to read all the pages of this book, where did we really come from and where did colonialism come from? what had he done
But the most interesting part of the book was its fourth chapter, Industrial Iran towards the gates of great civilization.
Most of this part of the book was his interviews and speeches, the interviews he had with David Frost, with Barbara Walters, with Oriana Fallacci, and with American and European television channels.
In one of these interviews, a French reporter from Channel 24 had a detailed and interesting interview with the king.
He said that you had a lot of success in the 70s due to the increase in oil prices and the crisis that occurred in Europe. Don’t you think that Europe and the United States will think of a solution to prevent further bankruptcy of their companies?
Shah answered, you have asked a good question. Yes, in the last four years, the price of oil has increased eightfold, and with this increase in the price of oil, we were able to improve the country’s industries and set up many factories, but this is just the beginning of Iran’s movement. The sale of Iran’s oil since 1979 after the end of our contract with the consortium should be prevented in general. Instead of selling oil, we should think about the country’s industries. Japan buys fuel oil from us for 24 dollars per barrel and sells us 50 kilos of PVC 135 The dollar is to our detriment.
France buys our oil, instead, the Michelin company sells us rubber, Germany buys oil from us and sells plastofoam for our industries.
The reporter asked, does this mean the bankruptcy of European and American industries? Does it not threaten your monarchy and government?
Shah answered, why have we thought about this in these eight years that the price of oil has increased, we have tried very hard so that this increase in price does not have a negative effect on the Iranian market and does not cause inflation in Iran, but in any case it has an effect and brings about the welfare of the people. A worker who ten years ago was paid 200 rials for 12 hours of work, today he gets this amount for two hours of work, and this is our problem. Iran is a religious country. Let’s come, you will have more profit with less work, because this prosperity has left its mark on the Iranian people’s belief, we will face a big problem and *the West will support this religious group*.
