Alireza Biranvand, who has been playing for Persepolis Tehran and the national team for many years, is one of those people who has reached this stage from a very poor family without any means.
According to him, he has told his life story to his teammates more than 10 times, but no one gets tired of hearing these stories and everyone always listens to his bitter and difficult life stories.
Born in Khorram Abad in 1971, he has been very interested in football since he was a child, and this interest was greatly displeased by his father.
Alireza says about this: “My father insisted that I should work and earn money instead of spending my time playing football.”
As the goalkeeper of the national team says, his father never beat him and always tore his ball, football uniform or football equipment so that he could no longer play because he knew Alireza’s interest in this sport, but he never got tired and finally started working. In Berberi bakery in Khorramabad, he was able to convince his father to play football as well.
This goalkeeper says: “Finally, I collected my money and bought a bus ticket and came to Tehran. On the way, I traveled with Hossein Faiz, who was the coach of the Tehran Vahdat team, and he told me that he would take me to the team if I paid 250,000 tomans.
He continues: “I didn’t have any money and I told Faiz the same and he still took me to the team. “I shone in the preparatory game, but this team did not have a dormitory and I slept in Azadi Square.”
He continued by stating that all the peddlers there knew him: “Later, I was supposed to spend the night in a pizzeria in exchange for washing dishes. In those days, I went to Homa’s youth team and played there as well.”
As his most bitter memory of those days, he says: “Once Saeed Math, our teacher, came to the restaurant at 1:30 AM. I didn’t want him to see me but he accidentally saw me and cried for me and said why I didn’t tell him about the work till now. After that, I went to a car wash and worked there for a while.
Then I was introduced to the municipality and every day from 5 o’clock I was sweeping in the treasury near the subway.
During all this time, my parents did not know that I was working in Tehran.” The first contract of this player was with Naft junior team. They gave him 900 thousand tomans, which he gave to his family and told them that he plays football in Tehran.
When he went to Hope, his contract reached two million and 500 thousand tomans. After Naft came to the Premier League, his contract was 85 million tomans and now he is playing for this team with a contract of 1 billion 900 million tomans, which is a two-year contract with Persepolis.
Biranvand is famous for throwing the ball high and his long hands. He himself says about this: “My long hands would die to wash the SUV.”
