Who is responsible for paying salaries during these days:

Payment of salary compensation (sick leave pay) is not the responsibility of the employer and is only the responsibility of the social security organization, except in organizations where the employer himself voluntarily pays an amount (to help the employees).

To whom this amount is awarded:

This amount is paid to the insured who are temporarily unable to work due to illness or accidents.

If these people are not able to work according to the doctor’s diagnosis, they will be supported by the social security organization and the mentioned organization will pay them an amount under the title of compensation (provided that the following conditions are observed):

1. Do not work during illness.

2. He has not received wages or salary during the mentioned days.

3. There must be a labor and employer relationship before the onset of the disease.

4. The rest period of the insured has been approved by the attending physician or the Social Security Medical Council.

5. The mentioned person has not redeemed himself, resigned or been fired during his illness.

How many times a year can you use sick leave:

There is no time limit or number of times for the period of sick pay compensation and until the insured is unable to work as determined by the Social Security Organization and is not recognized as disabled according to the rules of this organization, the payment of wage compensation continues. And its duration is part of the record, and its amount is also considered part of the insurance premium payment (during this period, the individual and his family are still covered by social security).

This amount can be paid from the following days:

Wage compensation during sick leave to the insured who:

1. Being unable to work due to an accident at work or an occupational disease

2. To be hospitalized due to a normal illness.

3. His illness is a continuation of the previous illness.

4. The insured should first be treated on an outpatient basis and then hospitalized.

5. Veterans of the Islamic Revolution (in cases where they are unable to work due to normal illness and are not admitted to the hospital).

Sick pay compensation is calculated and paid from the first day.

In other cases, the said compensation will be paid from the fourth day onwards.

What are the work steps:

Insureds who meet the above conditions must:

1. Submit your medical certificate to the social security branch.

2. Medical certificates are approved by the relevant authorities according to the insured rest period.

3. As long as the rest period of the insured person is not more than 7 days or is 15 days or less during the year, it will be sufficient to confirm it by the attending physician, and if the rest period is more than 15 days per year and less than 60 days, It must be approved by the authorized doctor of the organization.

4. If the insured’s rest period is 60 days or more per year, it must be approved by the Social Security Medical Council.

5. The amount of compensation for sick days of insured persons is calculated based on their last daily wages or salaries before the occurrence of illness.

6. In order to receive this type of compensation, the insured must submit the original medical record and a valid medical certificate to the branch of the Social Security Organization.
