Because the global price of soybean meal has greatly increased, but the price offered in the market system was stable, there was a break in its supply, and this problem has been solved and the price has been adjusted.
What is the country’s need for soybean meal?
The monthly requirement of soybean meal across the country is 300,000 tons, but during the last week, we have offered 280,000 tons of this product in the market system. In addition, one million tons of soybeans will also be imported to be turned into meal in oil factories and provided to poultry and livestock farmers.
One of the goals of the resistance economy is to diversify the sources of entry of basic goods into the country so that we do not have problems during the embargo. What measures have been taken in this regard?
One of the main import approaches of the 13th government has been to diversify the sources of import of various goods, especially basic goods, so that a major part of the country’s needs comes from the sources of Eurasian countries, especially Kazakhstan and Russia.
For this reason, in the current situation, barley is no longer imported from Europe, and this product is imported from these two countries at a much cheaper price and with a higher quality. In the field of sunflower oil and wheat, our imports are almost entirely from Eurasia.
On the other hand, a part of animal feed is imported from Romania and soybean meal is also imported from India, Turkey and Latin American countries.
According to the arrangements made with the Plant Protection Organization, high-quality grains are also supposed to be imported from African countries, for this reason, there is no relevance to a specific country in the current situation.
By creating a merchant ceiling and planning for the diversification of the import field and the activists of this field, we were able to create a competitive and non-exclusive basis for the importers of basic goods to enter our country.
