Criticism of industrial activists on the non-implementation of the resolutions of the Headquarters for dealing with Corona
⏪ The members of the Iran Chamber of Industries Commission in a meeting with the topic of “pathology and examination of the causes of the ineffectiveness of the government’s support for production”, about the lack of industrial development strategy, the lack of sufficient supervision on the type and method of implementation of the support and as a result the spread of rent and corruption, as well as the non-implementation of the headquarters’ approvals. They criticized dealing with Corona.
In their latest meeting, the members of the Iran Chamber of Industries Commission analyzed the pathology and investigated the causes of the ineffectiveness of the government’s support for production and criticized the government’s performance in implementing its various types of support for production and industry.
According to them, what the government announced during the outbreak of the corona virus in the form of the approvals of the National Headquarters to deal with the corona virus was also affected by the previous support of the government and due to the lack of executive guarantee, none of them were implemented, especially in other provinces of the country.
The members of this commission criticized the performance of the central bank, tax affairs and social security organization in dealing with the industry, especially during the recession prevailing in the country’s economy, and demanded the strict implementation of the approvals of the National Headquarters against Corona.
According to the statements of Abolfazl Roghani, the head of the Iran Chamber of Industries Commission, after the spread of this virus and its direct and indirect impact on all kinds of businesses, the expectations of economic activists from the government were sent to all officials in a 30-point statement. Although a significant number of clauses of this statement were raised and reviewed at the National Headquarters for Countering Corona, but in the end, the approvals did not reach the implementation stage.
This economic activist spoke about the lack of sufficient executive guarantee for the approvals of this headquarters and reminded:
Other government support for production and industry over the past years also suffered the same fate and in the end, none of them reached their final goal, which was the development of production and industry.
He further pointed to the beginning of the activities of the 11th round of the Islamic Council and asked the new members of the parliament:
In this period, instead of approving a new law, they should focus on monitoring and reviewing how the existing laws are implemented. Currently, good laws have been approved by the representatives of the previous periods, which unfortunately have not yet been implemented.
In the continuation of this meeting, Seyed Amir Sayah, a member of the Majlis Research Center, presented a report on the center’s recent study on why government support for production is ineffective.
According to the results of this study
Among the factors that have caused the government’s support for production to not reach real results are as follows:
1. Failure to introduce an industry as the driving force of the country
2. Ignoring the development of industrial development strategy
3. Lack of necessary security for investment
4. Lack of enforcement guarantee for the laws and neglect to implement the promises made by high-ranking officials.
5. Inefficiency of financial markets
6. Applying rent-seeking support
