Using the legal capacity of Article 51 of the Customs Law, production units can import the raw materials needed for the production of export products through temporary entry without definitive payment of import duties.

Ali Akbar Shamani, Director General of Iran Customs Export Office, announcing this news, said: According to Article 51 of the Law on Customs Affairs and Articles 81 to 88 of its executive regulations, production and commercial units (parties to the contract with the production unit) may temporarily enter raw materials and goods They need to produce products for export (temporary entry for processing).

Regarding the main advantages of the temporary entry procedure for processing goods and products for export, Shamani stated: the possibility of production units using their empty capacities, no restrictions on the temporary entry of raw materials and required items, no need to pay entry fees and other due amounts in time Temporary entry and the possibility of depositing one of the guarantees subject to Clause H of Article 1 of the aforementioned law for a period of at least one year and the possibility of extending the validity period of licenses and guarantees are among these benefits.

Pointing out that the value of temporary entry of raw materials and goods needed to produce products for export reached 245 million dollars in 1402, he added: During this period, 416 temporary entry permits for processing worth 640 million dollars were issued, of which 245 million Its dollars have been used by applicants.

According to him, the value of temporarily imported goods for processing in 1402, compared to the total value of goods imported this year and the number of production units using this procedure, shows that less than this legal capacity has been used to increase non-oil exports. .

Director General of the Customs Export Office, pointing out that most of the temporary entry goods for processing in terms of value entered the country in 1402 through Zanjan, Shahid Rajaei Bandar Abbas, Bashmaq, Saro and Isfahan customs offices, stated: Among the temporary entry goods for Processing, items of zinc soil, used battery, types of acrylic thread, copper and zinc concentrates have the highest share of value, respectively.

He said: Aria mining companies, Middle East Pasargad Metals, Shams Zangan Novin Pejohan, Iranian Babak Mes, and Zob Roy Sedid respectively had the largest value share of temporarily imported goods during this period.

Shamani added: The use of this legal capacity and the temporary entry of goods for processing by economic actors and its export will play an important role in reducing the cost of producing export products and increasing the power of competition in international markets, increasing employment, production and non-oil exports.
