Essential tips for storing food in the warehouse
All feed components should be kept below 25°C.
Use ground grains within a month.
Knowing the expiration date of all food items is essential.
Seeds and whole grains should be used within one year after harvest.
To prevent spoilage of fat and oil in food items, use antioxidants.
Use resistant and quality vitamin premixes.
Unopened containers of vegetable oils can be stored for one year, but if the lid of the container of oil or fat is opened, it should be consumed within a month, because it will be exposed to air and the oil oxidation process will begin.
Use vitamin mixtures up to 6 months after preparation.
Fat-free food components, protein powders and minerals with an unspecified expiration date can be stored for a long time in a dry and unpolluted place. In any case, the passage of time will decrease the nutritional value of these ingredients, and it is better to buy and consume them fresh and not to store them for a long time.
Meals with more than 2% fat (such as sunflower meal, cotton seed meal, meat and bone meal, fish meal, and poultry waste meal) have a time limit. Flours should be stored in a cold place (temperature below 25°C). In summer, these materials should be used within two months after production.
Never store vitamins and minerals in the form of a mixture, because in a vitamin-mineral mixture, many of these substances may have a negative interaction with each other and their nutritional value will decrease.
