Examining pre- and post-immigration issues on Twitter
By reviewing the published tweets, Lifeweb has analyzed the opinions of the users of the Twitter social network on the issue of immigration from the country in the past two years.
Surveys show that 57% of the contents refer to post-immigration issues and 43% to pre-immigration issues.
In pre-immigration issues, 27% of the content refers to the issue of not being able to afford immigration. In this matter, users have mentioned the rising cost of living abroad and the increase in the price of the dollar. In 11% of the contents, users discussed the risks of migration in economic and social fields, and in 11%, they spoke about the motives of migration due to the existence of an unfavorable political system in the country.
In post-immigration issues, 33% of the content is about immigrants’ sadness and depression, and 13% about cultural incompatibility with the destination country. 12% of the content refers to longing and separation from family and friends.
