Farmers’ campaign is a national demand, not a union demand

Farmers’ campaign is a national demand, not a union demand

The campaign to protest against the unfair price of wheat has been started by the farmers for a few days and has passed 7,000 signatures.

Over the years, anti-production policies have severely affected the agriculture and animal husbandry of this land, and not only have suffered this industry, but have also made the country’s food security face a serious threat.

In the past agricultural years, we have warned many times about the situation of different sectors of agriculture and animal husbandry. The day when chickens were buried alive due to wrong policies and keeping supply prices low compared to costs! The day when ranchers were unable to provide food, they were forced to kill productive animals! We announced the danger.  And now we are witnessing the repetition of those policies in the country’s most strategic agricultural product.
The agricultural policies of the governments have targeted the country’s wheat farmers in the past until today. Determining an unfair price and monopolizing the wheat market will lead to a decline in production and, as a result, a threat to food security.

Today, each and every noble people of Iran, from the working class to the representatives of the Islamic Council, influential figures and officials, are responsible for the policy that works to the detriment of millions of producing farmers and to the benefit of a handful of rentier importers and organized smugglers. .

#This_is_not_a_union_campaign, but_a_national_demand.

If we don’t want the country’s foreign exchange income to be looted by limited people under the name of food imports, if we don’t want to see a new wave of bankrupt farmers migrating to the outskirts of cities, if we don’t want to get caught in the strategy of oil versus food, today the voice of the farmer and production to be domestic.

This is the only demand of Iranian farmers for land
Don’t buy our product cheaply, we don’t want government subsidies! Price domestic quality wheat as much as you buy it from a foreign farmer.

If the government does not support the farmer, it should not take away the result of a year of suffering and labor by buying exclusively and allow him to sell it in the free and competitive market. If the Ministry of Agricultural Jihad does not have the ability to control the price of production inputs from tools and machinery to fertilizers and poisons, with what argument does it want to stabilize the price of the farmer’s product?

In order to reform the country’s production policies, maintain food security, prevent the new wave of migrations and its many social consequences, today we join the protest campaign against the unfair price of wheat and ask the honorable government to comply with the current laws approved by the parliament regarding the country without less and less. Run the cassette.
