Finally, there was news about the Sultan of Nissan!
Finally, after one hundred and eight days of detention, a court in Tokyo agreed to the release of #Carlos_Gon from prison with bail.
Sultan can go shopping! And he can go through the next steps of his court without arrest. But it should be monitored.
The amount of this bail is set at one billion yen (eight million nine hundred thousand dollars).
Mr. Ghoun’s bail request was rejected earlier and in two cases. The judicial authorities cited the risk of Mr. Gon’s escape and the possibility of him hiding documents as the reason for this action.
The fate of Mr. Gon in #Japan is interesting for two reasons. First, he was a successful foreign (non-Japanese) manager, and beyond a “manager”, he had appeared as an (industrial) leader, and in Japan’s closed structures, the possibility of reaching such a position for a foreigner (Gai Jin) It rarely happens. Second, the harshness and brutality of the judicial system and the Japanese police against Carlos Gon raises the doubt that if instead of Carlos’s name, (for example) Tanaka’s name was in the middle, would he still be treated so harshly?
Were the directors of the #Tepco electricity company treated this harshly after the #Fukushima disaster?
Earlier, I explained in two notes that Japan is rich in terms of #industry and #technology (and is even largely unnecessary), but this does not prevent them from hiring managers from abroad when necessary (such as football coaches). But few managers achieved fame and success as much as Mr. Gon.
We are still waiting to see what his charges are and why he has faced such severe treatment. The person who saved #Nissan from bankruptcy and made a debtor company profitable in a short period of time is now not accused of embezzlement or mismanagement, but because of the accusation that he “didn’t declare the amount of his income and remuneration honestly”, from a king to a prison. is
Is this the whole story or is this Nissan’s coup against #Renault?
We do not know at the moment. Still have to wait.
