Garbage depot in Badamek Shahyar Qajari bridge
‼ Shahriar’s tourism is a raw fantasy that has been forgotten under garbage bins
Field report: #Saeed_Fatohi
According to the heritage report; Abrasan Badamek bridge from the Qajar period can be one of the tourist attractions of Shahryar.
Among the irrigated bridges that can be seen around Tehran, and which have been of great interest from a historical point of view, is the Shahriar irrigated bridge, which is located in the village of Badamek and was registered in the national register in Shahrivar 1382 with the number 9896.
In the not-so-distant past, these bridges were used in cities and villages to supply water to agricultural lands. In the past, these structures or water bridges were also called Abareh and were of great importance.
This historical bridge is located in the west of Badamek village and in the vicinity of Varamink lands. To reach this national monument, you have to pass Saeed Abad on Shahryar road and visit this bridge just after the new Al-Ahadah Badamek bridge and after a short distance.
In 2019, the deputy of the coordination of civil affairs of the governor of Tehran said that this old bridge is located under a part of the current road, that due to the high volume of traffic and in order to maintain its durability, this bridge needs to be repaired and reconstructed.
Although now it seems that this bridge has been restored, what is shocking at first sight is the pile of scum deposited around it, so that the beautiful face of this bridge is completely distorted and buried under a pile of scum and mud from stagnant water. Is.
This is despite the fact that there is not even a sign indicating that this bridge is nationally and historically registered, and there is even a need to install signs on the Shahriar road in addition to this sign along the way to inform about the approach of this historical monument. gave
On the other hand, there is a serious criticism of the type of presentation of historical monuments of Tehran province. We were not able to introduce the works of Tehran province well to tourists, tourist guides, media and officials of the province and city so that no one is worried about what is happening on this bridge.
Don’t we have a few historical bridges in Tehran province? Why should a nationally registered work that has been restored be a garbage depot and the cultural heritage authorities of Tehran province do not have the slightest knowledge of its condition? If they know, why don’t they show any reaction to this situation?
With this situation, how can the tourist be brought to this area and explain to him about the water supply system, the water supply system and its history in this area?
⁉ How and where to follow the status of this nationally registered historic bridge? from driving? Provincial Government? Governor? The General Department of Cultural Heritage of Tehran Province or the Department of Cultural Heritage of Shahriar City?
