I am going to a nursing home

*I’m going to a nursing home*

This text was written by a retired writer who wrote her feelings when she was transferred to a nursing home:

*I am going to a nursing home, I have to.*

When life reaches a point where you are no longer able to support yourself, your children are busy taking care of their own children and cannot take care of you.
This is the only way left.

The nursing home has good conditions: simple room, all kinds of entertainment, delicious food, good service.
The space is also very beautiful, but the price is not cheap.
My pension can hardly cover this cost.

Of course, if I sell my house, I can afford it easily.

I can spend it in retirement; I want to leave a good legacy for my son.

My son says: “Your money and possessions should give you pleasure.” Don’t be upset with us.”

Now I have to prepare to go to a nursing home.
Decluttering the house involves many things:

1. Boxes, suitcases, cabinets and drawers that are full of life accessories, clothes and sleeping accessories for all seasons.

2⃣ I liked collecting.
I have a stamp collection, dozens of teapots. Many small collections, such as necklaces made of amber stone and walnut wood and such.

3 I love my book. My library is full of books. All kinds of high-quality foreign glass bottles.
I have several sets of all kinds of kitchen utensils.

4. Pots, pots, plates and everything you can imagine in a full kitchen.
Dozens of albums full of photos and.

I look at the house full of things and worry.

The nursing home has only one room with a cabinet, a table, a bed, a sofa, a refrigerator, a TV, a gas and a washing machine.

There is no more room for all the things I have collected over a lifetime.

For a moment, I think that the money I have collected is no longer mine.
In fact, this property belongs to the world.

I look at them, I play with them, I use them, but I can’t take them with me to the nursing home.

I want to give away all my property, but I can’t; It is difficult for me to digest.
On the other hand, my children and grandchildren do not value my work and all these collected things that much.
I can easily imagine how they deal with all this I have painstakingly collected:

All expensive clothes are thrown away. Valuable photos are destroyed, books are sold in bulk.
What about my collections??!!!!
Furniture is also sold at a very low price.

From the mountain of clothes I had collected, I took a few pieces, some kitchen utensils, some of my favorite books and some teapots.
ID and citizenship card, insurance, house document and of course bank card, that’s it.

These are all my belongings. I go and say goodbye to the neighbors

I bow my head three times towards the door of the house and leave it to the world.

*Yes, in life, you sleep on a bed and live in a room, the rest is for watching and playing.*

Finally, people understand after a lifetime:
We really don’t need much.

1. Don’t make your surroundings too busy to be happy.

2. Competing for fame and fortune is funny.

3. Life is not more than a bed.

4⃣ Alas
that everything we have won is lost.

5. What is removed is what is left.

So live in the moment.

Don’t be too attached to luxury, house, car.

*In a word, don’t be a hoarder.*

*Be athletic, enjoy life, be good, with yourself, with others, with everyone.*

“Eat well, dress well, travel well, don’t take life too hard

I recommend that you read it, this is for all of us, today our parents, tomorrow it is our turn.
