If something becomes abnormally expensive

If something becomes unusually expensive:

In civilized societies:
People wisely boycott it.

In neural communities:
People riot wildly.

And in sentimental societies:
People greedily buy and stock up.

I don’t think that in the history of several thousand years of humanity, no one has died because of not eating pistachios at night, nuts do not satisfy anyone, and no one gets indigestion from not eating them, so instead of standing in long queues, we can buy pistachios for 250,000 tomans per kilo. take it home, don’t buy dried fruit and tell our guests that: We didn’t buy it because of lack of money or poverty, but because we are a part of this society and they are not going to treat us as they want and sell their goods to us. Let’s buy like fools at whatever price they imposed!!

To warm up the Eid night party, we can explain that once in Germany they made milk more expensive than normal, and instead of rioting, the people’s response was that they did not remove the distributors’ bottles of milk from the back doors of their homes for two days. Just like that, 3 days later, the prices returned to the previous routine.

In the following, we can compare this civilized behavior with the behavior of the Sudanese
who set fire to gas stations in protest of the high price of gasoline and caused millions of dollars of damage to their country, and we can compare it with our own unreasonable behavior that when something becomes expensive, we multiply our purchases in order to reward those who increase the price. This is despite the fact that temporarily stopping the purchase of many items does not harm our lives, just as in Germany no one dies from not drinking milk.

The reason for not having nuts on this year’s Eid night is not poverty, but the sense of responsibility of a citizen towards his society, in this case, the guests will not only think of us as poor, but also admire us because they are intelligent enough to understand that social responsibility is much more valuable than breaking A few seeds and eating a few pistachios.

Isn’t it time to act a little wisely in the face of high prices?
Ban the purchase of nuts.
This is not a difficult task.
