Information about Angara

Information about Angara:

(pericardial effusion syndrome and hepatitis)

Angara was first diagnosed in 1987 in Angara district near Karachi, Pakistan.

Because the disease (HHS) was diagnosed in this area, it is called Angara disease.

Angara affects broiler chickens at the age of 3 to 5 weeks, which are susceptible.

Angara is an infectious and contagious disease that is characterized by a high infection rate and death rate.

The causative agent of the disease (Angara) that is discussed is adenovirus group one and its transmission is both vertical and horizontal.

(Vertical: means it is transmitted from mother to chick through the egg.
Horizontal: in case of direct contact or poultry contamination due to lack of hygiene and improper quarantine)

Horizontal transmission of the virus occurs in herds that are of different ages and in herds that do not follow health issues.

The virus reproduces in the digestive system.

A study has been conducted on the risk factors of Angara disease in beef herds in Pakistan. The arrival of vaccinators and casualty control teams and indiscriminate visits to farms make herds susceptible to disease outbreaks.

Usually, the infection period is between 9 and 14 days, and the infection rate is 10 to 30 percent, and there are 3 to 5 percent daily casualties, which means that in a farm of 10,000 animals, there are between 300 and 500 casualties per day.

Herds showing Angara disease do not have specific clinical symptoms.

The sudden onset of losses, lethargy, crowding, ruffled and yellow feathers and mucoid shedding are its characteristic symptoms.

There is no specific treatment for this disease.

Regarding the use of iodophor, which can reduce casualties during disease outbreaks, it should be said that iodophor is one of the weakest group of disinfectants, and naturally, stronger disinfectants such as Nanosil and its similar compounds can be used.

As a result, in dealing with any disease, we must consider 3 important factors as control and prevention.
1- Vaccination: which is unfortunately not available at the moment
2- Proper hygiene and quarantine
3- By raising the immune system as well as the digestive system, build a strong dam and fortress against Angara and other diseases.

Our advice to dear poultry farmers has always been that (you should start praying without seeing it)

I suggest that by relying on the experience of poultry farmers who have used spices and during the period, in addition to the other benefits of spices, they have faced (improvement of the immune system and improvement of the digestive system), they must take measures to prevent and build a barrier against the flood of diseases. send

The results of using herbal extracts according to the formula

1_ Increasing the immune system
2_ Preventing and dealing with diseases
3_ Fresh herd
4_ Reduction of casualties
5_ Improvement of the digestive system
6_ Improvement of appetite
7_Increasing weight gain
8_Improving the food conversion factor
9_ Short breeding period
10_ Reduction of production cost (especially medicine)
11- Ethnicity strengthens the immunity created by vaccines
