The mayor of Region 3, in a friendly meeting with the elected mayors of the schools, mentioned the school mayor as an exercise in participation and gaining experience for students to accept bigger responsibilities in the society.
According to the public relations report of Region 3 Municipality, Hamid Javani said about the importance of the duties of school mayors: expanding interactions between the municipality as an urban institution and education as an education center is very useful and important.
The mayor of Region 3 said: Accepting the position of school mayor in the student category, while familiarizing people at the lower level with the urban management environment, provides the necessary preparations for taking on higher responsibilities in the future for this segment of the society.
The mayor of Region 3 added: surely, the communication of the municipality with different classes of citizens will be of great help to the optimal urban management, for this reason, the role of school mayors as representatives of educational centers is very effective.
The mayor of Region 3 pointed out the scope of activities, missions and responsibilities of various vice-chancellors and departments in the municipality and added: school mayors, while familiarizing themselves with these duties, can help the city administration with the participation of the municipality.
Javani said: Correspondence with municipal officials, follow-up on civil, traffic, service issues and so on. And seriously follow the presence in the visits and events of the region.
Furthermore, Mahmoud Afarakhte, the social and cultural deputy of Region 3 municipality, stating that school mayors are the link between the municipality and educational centers in terms of identity, said: Tehran Municipality is trying to transform from a purely service institution to a social and cultural institution. and for this purpose it uses the effective participation and interaction of different strata of citizens.
The vice president of social and cultural affairs of Region 3 municipality said: Undoubtedly, the municipality is with the school mayors on the road ahead, so that this layer provides an effective mechanism for the administration and management of the school as a small community.
