Mortazavi announced; Honoring the women of Region 9 with a special performance of Women’s Week programs
The mayor of Region 9 announced the holding of more than 45 different programs on the occasion of Women’s Week and Mother’s Day in the western part of Tehran.
According to the public relations report of District 9 Municipality; Syed Mohammad Rahim Mortazavi, the mayor of the region, announced this news and said: In honor of the birth of the great lady of Islam, Hazrat Fatima Zahra, peace be upon her, the municipality of Region 9 is conducting special programs for Women’s Week and Mother’s Day in the eight neighborhoods of the west of Tehran.
He added: In this regard, a special celebration program of 1000 people was held at the 1st Shekari base in which the mothers and wives of the martyrs, including the mother of the martyr Mohammad Reza Hosseini, and the active and influential women of the 9th region, including Elaha Ahmadi, the shooting champion, women entrepreneurs, Basiji, sports and jihadi women athletes are appreciated.
The mayor of Region 9 said: Also, the celebration of 1000 people especially for mothers in Shamshiri Bostan, the celebration of the central neighborhood and in the houses of culture and the cultural and sports complex of Shahr Bano are among the programs of Women’s Week and Mother’s Day in the neighborhoods of Region 9.
Mortazavi reminded: the opening of the sports and cultural sections of the Shahrbanu complex with the presence of senior city managers, the establishment of an entrepreneurial bazaar in the Shamshiri garden and the Shahrbanu complex, the establishment of educational workshops, the implementation of videocamping and lighting in the Azadi Tower at the same time as the birthday of Hazrat Fatemeh Zahra (PBUH). Holding an educational workshop on women’s authority, holding a cake and pastry festival with the presence of local women are among the programs of the mentioned week.
This senior city manager in Region 9 stated: Also, holding cultural and social programs and competitions, including; Calligraphy, painting, photography, storytelling, poems and short literary texts for Mother’s Day, performance of hymn group, children’s appreciation of mothers in cultural and social spaces in different and creative ways, mother and child competition, visit to nursing home and honoring mothers. Recreational and pilgrimage camps were held with the aim of creating a spiritual, happy and fun atmosphere in honor of the women of Region 9 in the west of Tehran.
