Whenever I enter Jalal highway from Sheikh Fazlullah Noori highway, I can’t help but remember Jalal Al Ahmad’s historical mistake!
Jalal Al-Ahmed wrote in his book “Gharbzadgi” about the execution of Sheikh Fazlullah Nouri: “In any case, it was from that day that the mark of Westernization was slapped on our foreheads like a burn.” @sokhanranihaa and I consider the corpse of that honorable man on his head as a flag that was raised on the roof of this country after two hundred years as a sign of the conquest of the West.
This false conclusion of Jalal is given to the students of this country in the textbooks and they blame the Westerners for taking Sheikh Fazlullah’s fault. is that it can be stuck like a label on the forehead of every person and stream. This word “man” was an invention of Seyyed Ahmed Mohini Yazdi, known as Ahmed Fardid, who was fascinated by Martin Heidegger, the Nazi philosopher of Hitler’s Germany. Fardid found common ground between Heidegger’s phenomenological philosophy and Ibn Arabi’s mysticism!
The story of Sheikh Fazlullah Nouri is another story. Sheikh Fazlullah, who was next to Seyyed Abdullah Behbahani and Seyyed Kazem Tabatabai at the beginning of the constitutional revolution, later disagreed with Seyyed Abdullah Behbahani and considered the constitutionalism anti-religion and called the constitutionalists Mehdur al-Dam!
Muhammad Ali Shah Qajar, who saw his kingdom as limited by the establishment of the constitution of unconditional government, welcomed the fatwa of Sheikh Fazlullah and several imams of Fridays who were in sync with him and organized a coup d’état @sokhanranihaa The closing of the parliament and the execution of many constitutionalists, whom the sheikh called Mehdur al-Dam.
Mohammad Ali Shah’s failed coup, Sheikh Fazlullah was tried and executed as the Sharia theorist of the coup, but the important thing is that in this trial and execution, the westerners did not have the main role, but this story was directed by the clerics themselves!
Correspondence between Seyyed Abdullah Tabatabai and Seyyed Kazem Tabatabai with the scholars of Najaf caused the authorities of Taqlid Najaf known as Ayat Salas to declare Sheikh Fazlullah Nouri corrupt in a telegram they sent on 29th Dhu Qada 1325 AH! The decree of Sheikh Fazlullah being corrupt is signed by Grand Ayatollah Mohammad Hossein Najal Mirza Khalil, Grand Ayatollah Mohammad Kazem Khorasani and Grand Ayatollah Abdullah Mazandarani!
The judge who tried Sheikh Fazlullah and sentenced him to death was Sheikh Ibrahim Zanjani. This man studied religious sciences for 20 years in Najaf seminary and was a student of Akhund Khorasani, Sheikh Mohammad Lahiji and Haji Mirza Khalil.
The fact that the execution of Sheikh Fazlullah Nouri was a wrong action is one thing, and it is another thing to blame this wrong action on people other than the perpetrators. The discussion of the rightness and wrongness of this action is an analytical and legal debate that every person and trend can have a different opinion depending on their political and philosophical orientation, but to take this action from the shoulders of its main directors and put it on the shoulders of others is a distortion of history. and the distortion of history at the macro and social level causes sick thoughts, wrong decisions and sick social movements.
How do we expect a nation that does not know its history to make the right decisions?!
