On the occasion of World Teacher’s Day
A look at the slogan of World Teacher’s Day
Habibi’s host
The 13th of Mehr, the 5th of October, is International Teacher’s Day. The theme of World Teacher’s Day in 2023 is as follows: We need teachers for education, it is necessary for the world to find a solution to compensate for the lack of teachers!
Notice that in the whole developed world, with an average of 12 to 16 students in each class, they have raised an international issue to compensate for the lack of teachers, so that they may find a solution for this inhuman pressure on the shoulders of their teachers, but on the other hand, in Iran, with an official announcement A maximum of 36 students in each class, which is not observed, have forgotten the average of 27 students mentioned in the above documents.
Meanwhile, the lack of teachers for classes of 40 to 50 people in extremely non-standard environments is high, and the global slogan on Teacher’s Day is to find a solution for the lack of teachers for classes of 16 people!
From the point of view of the average number of students in each classroom, perhaps Japan can be considered an educational exception in developed countries, because in this country, both students’ families and teachers are interested in holding classrooms with a high number of students, and for this reason, Japan is an example. it’s rare.
But in Japan with such a national perspective, with a population of 125 million people, 452,849 teachers have 9,373,295 students in the primary school, which means that in Japan, which has the most crowded primary classes in developed countries, each teacher averages 20 It has 7 students.
In Iran, 265,057 primary teachers are working to teach 8,278,282 students, which means that each teacher should teach 31.6 students on average. It should be noted that this statistic is related to before 1400 and before the arrival of the new wave of increase in the student population in the elementary school, so now the average number of students per teacher is about 36, and in some schools this number is even more than 45.
Some reasons for the current state of education in Iran:
1. Per capita student in Iran is 300 dollars and the world average is 9313 dollars. Per student is obtained by dividing the budget of the Ministry of Education by the number of students.
2. The average salary of teachers in the world is about 3500 dollars and in Iran it is 300 dollars
3. The budget of the Ministry of Education in Iran for this year is less than 4 billion dollars, and in Japan it is more than 250 billion dollars!
4. Here, teachers do not know if they disagree with the Minister of Education, who will be the next option to be chosen!? But in Finland, people know who the future minister of education is when they vote for the government!
5. In countries with an advanced education system, a maximum of 1% of students have special education in the same public and normal schools, but here in one of the districts of Shiraz, the pride of responsibility is that 40% of students study in non-government schools. Of course, we know that Shahid schools, government model schools, Sampad and Board of Trustees should not be assumed to be government schools either.
6. The share of education in Iran’s GDP is less than 1% and the world average is more than 5%, and this share in Oman is 6.7% of GDP.
7. The number of administrative personnel of the Ministry of Education in Iran is 380,000 people and 300 people in Finland
8. The ratio of the total population of the country to the number of personnel of the Iranian Ministry of Education is 221, which means that for every 221 Iranians, the Ministry of Education has one salaried person who is not a teacher, and this number is 18,333 in Finland.
9. National per capita education in Iran for this year is $47, in Denmark $1,551, in Kuwait $1,693 and in Japan $2,050.
