On Thursday, December 13, 2023, corresponding to October 27, 1402, the European Parliament awarded the Sakharov Prize for Freedom of Thought and Opinion, the highest award that the European Union annually awards to human rights activists or a set of human rights activities, to Mehsa Amini and The women’s movement gave life to freedom in Iran

On Thursday, December 13, 2023, corresponding to October 27, 1402, the European Parliament awarded the #Sakharov #Freedom_of_Thought and Opinion Award, the highest award that the European Union annually awards to #human_rights activists or a set of human rights activities, to Mehsa Amini. And the #women_life_freedom_movement donated in #Iran.

The Sakharov Prize for Freedom of Thought, named in honor of Andrei Sakharov, a dissident and dissident former Soviet scientist, was established in December 1988 by the European Parliament. This award is given to individuals or organizations who dedicate their lives to the defense of human rights and freedom of thought.

The first award was given to Nelson Mandela in 1988. This award was given in 2012 to two Iranians, Nasrin Sotoudeh and Jafar Panahi.

The award ceremony will be held on December 22, 1402 in Strasbourg, France.
